DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM

New Horizon Counseling provides Alcohol and Drug counseling services for people who are experiencing problems or situations with pleasure producing substances. These services are not limited to the individual experiencing the problem. We also have services for family and or friends. New Horizon Counseling also provides DUI services--including assessment, referrals, educational services and out-patient treatment.

We strive to provide the highest quality of Substance Abuse related services to this area. Our clients are treated with the utmost respect and dignity as we provide educational services to those we serve.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe that each person is an individual with specific and differing needs. Our clients are viewed as people with problems, not problem people. We subscribe to the saying, "treat others as you would like to be treated." Our clients receive a psychosocial assessment that helps us determine the needs and direction of care. We believe that total treatment of the person is essential. We devote our utmost to the highest standards of client care. Our services are administered with professionalism, integrity and respect. Client confidentiality, trust and dignity are to be maintained. We view alcoholism and drug addiction as a primary illness that is chronic, progressive, treatable and fatal if left untreated. We believe that the best program of recovery is the twelve steps program of AA. Regardless of our clients needs, we want to assist in moving clients from a state of unhealthiness to healthy and productive lifestyles.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to improve the quality of lives by those using mood altering chemicals so that our families and communities will be safer and more respectable. We hope to create an atmosphere of support in order to promote abstinence of mood altering chemicals.

Our objective is to be the agency of choice in this community, incorporating quality, caring and value into our system of services.
